Champions League Mid Season

7 weeks in and not a lot has been determined at this point. A remarkable 7 teams are tied at 4-2. 10 teams are within two games of the lead. It's amazing that a team that is currently tied for the best record is not going to make it back in the Champions League next year. Let's get to the individual team reviews because I don’t have much else to say here.

Rammed by Legatron – 1st Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues

Rammed by Leagtron has had some nice games from the QBs but the depth of the team has been lacking. This team doesn’t have much of an RB2 which is especially painful when Saquon goes down. Just as he comes back, Thielen gets hurt. I think this team is going to limp through the rest of the season. There is still a possibility of a couple wins down the stretch but this team is pretty much doomed to the minor leagues next year.

Norfolk Yokels – 2nd Pick Prediction – Champions League (No Playoffs)

Well into the 4th quarter the Bears had 120 total yards last week. Needless to say, Trubisky and Allen Robinson had very few points. They both finished with over 20 points in junk time. Just what the team needed during McCaffrey’s bye. Now that McCaffrey is back, this team is set to keep on winning. A couple of players haven’t been playing as well as hoped but there is plenty of talent to get this team turned around and into the playoffs. Even if it is still McCaffrey against the world, I’ll take McCaffrey.

League Boss – 3rd Pick Prediction – Playoffs

After a blazing 4-0 start including over 160 points on the bye week, this team is on a two-week skid. After one terrible trade for Guice who had a much more severe injury than originally thought, this team still has some depth and potential. Lamar Jackson has been a key piece for the team. Jackson has a bye this week so it might be 4-3 and an uphill climb to get to the playoffs. I have complete confidence in this team to put together a late run and make some noise in the playoffs.

Mr G’s Drama Class – 4th Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues

And here it is, Mr. G probably wishes he drafted Antonio Bryant because he has played the same number of games this year. Well almost. The crazy thing is OJ Howard only has 8 more points than AB. Russell Wilson has been playing inspired but the David Johnson fiasco last week with some other injuries have left this team struggling. I’m not sure there is anything that can be done to pull this team out of the minor leagues. This team has just had some of the worst luck possible.

Disgusting Act By Randy Moss – 5th Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues

Our defending champion must be striking fear into the hearts of opponents because nobody has put up big points against them. A league-low 581 points against has helped the team get to 4-2. Despite Mixon having a horrible season, this team still has potential coming down the stretch to pick up some wins. Darnold needs to stop seeing ghosts and get back to playing well. This team might just squeeze into the top 6 but they will need some more help from other teams struggling.

Los Pollos Hermanos – 6th Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues

Our leaders at the turn by 6.4 points scored. The team has been led by Deshaun Watson, Ekeler, and Godwin through the first half of the season. It is a little surprising this team hasn’t been able to go 6-0 with this cast of characters. I guess you can point to a little lack of depth and a poor start from Baker to explain the two losses. If Ekeler can keep a role in the offense, this team will be able to scrape together a WR2 and flex and keep putting up big points. This is one prediction I got very wrong.

The FanPub Podcast – 7th Pick Prediction – Playoffs

The podcast has survived the 2nd most points against to get to 4-2 which is impressive. Mahomes and Dalvin have been leading this team. They were also on the receiving end of the stupid trade by the commish. With Mahomes and Ryan injured, the mustachioed one will need to lead this team into the playoffs. The extent of the run will be determined by the WRs and who will step up. Will the Sanders trade help this team enough for a championship? Hard to say but they certainly have a chance.

Flying Purple People Eaters – 8th Pick Prediction – Playoffs

Who would have thought Tannehill and Danny Dimes would be starting for the People Eaters in the middle of the season? Freeman has been disappointing but overall the team has been good. 726 points scored is good enough for 4th in the league. Some bad luck has left them 2 games out of first. Its an uphill climb but the potential is there to make it to the playoffs. This week is important though. They don’t want to give up 3 games with only 4 to play.

New Lennox Mustangs – 9th Pick Prediction – Champions League (No Playoffs)

Our 3-3 team contains exactly what you would expect. Some great players like Chris Carson and Michael Thomas along with disappointments in JuJu and Ertz. This team is probably going to continue to be plagued by inconsistent play. Staying in the Champions League will be a huge challenge but not out of the realm of possibility. Each player can put up big points, but they can also post big duds. I think they will finish either 5-6 or 6-5.

Team Essman – 10th Pick Prediction – Playoffs

Essman has survived the loss of Davante Adams and a slow start from Aaron Rodgers. A surging Cousins with Rodgers has created some big points. The center of the lineup is a little questionable with new starter Ty Johnson and Tyler Boyd but if Kirk and Aaron keep playing big then it won’t matter much. Some good team management has gotten them 4-2 and should continue to help this team get into the playoffs.

The Rifles – 11th Prediction – Minor Leagues

Looks like the first place gun control has come into effect is fantasy football. The Rifles have been nerfed by a string of injuries. Cam Newton, Tevin Coleman, Tyreek Hill, and Desean Jackson have all had extended absences. Brandin Cooks has also been terrible. There is no reason why this team can’t get a bunch of wins down the stretch. I think there are going to be a number of teams looking ahead at the next opponent and end up going down to a surprisingly good 0-6 team.

The Dre Tones – 12th Prediction – Minor Leagues

Dre Tones = Patriots Defense. 20 points per game is absolutely disgusting. Only two other players for this team have over 100 points total and the defense has 146. Overall this team isn’t that great. If the Patriots D comes back to earth a bit this team could be in big trouble. But I see no reason why that will happen. This may be one of my predictions I get wrong.
