Welcome to the RFFA for those of you who are new and welcome back those of you who are looking for some better luck this year. The QB run for this league came in the 6th round where 8 out of 16 picks were QBs. A fairly typical result. We will see how this league shook out after the draft.

. O Saquon U C? – 1st Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues (Playoffs)

A fairly solid team to kick off the draft. Strong RBs and WRs. There is some concern at flex but there are a number of options that can fill this void. QB2 also has some questions because the team waited so long but Jimmy G should put up some good points. Njoku may have a tough time living up to an 8th round selection but it shouldn’t hurt this team too much. They should be able to compete each week and maybe just barely get into the playoffs.

Show Me Your TDs – 2nd Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues (Playoffs)

Show me yours first. Oh! Those are pretty nice. A lot of late-round value takes care of any concerns around Michel’s knee. Ballage, Dion Lewis, and Malcolm Brown could all see significant touches this season. There is no backup QB and Brady hasn’t been putting up the numbers of past years. That is the one gap that could hurt this team but a good trade or two plus some luck on later picks puts this team easily into the playoffs.

I’ve Had Bad Luck– 3rd Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues (Playoffs)

An early QB and multiple RBs leave this team a bit thin at WR2. Mike Williams didn’t catch that many balls last year. There is some depth later on that can help but it is still a little unclear. This team’s luck is looking to turn around a bit with Tony Pollard. He is somewhat of a wild card. The team doesn’t really need a 4th RB. I think this is trade material to bolster a position like WR. One good trade and this team is in the playoffs for sure.

Team Nakagawa – 4th Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)

This team had a nice start of the draft taking the top QB overall as well some solid RBs and WRs. The rest of the roster is filled with players with low ceilings but will put up some points. The team will be able to find some points during bye weeks, but one or two injuries and this team will be struggling to win all season. I think it is going to be a tough season, but they will just barely get into the Minor Leagues.

Team Froass – 5th Pick Prediction – Amateur Hour League

A third-round Melvin Gordon is protected by Austin Eckler a little later in the draft at round 8. Pretty good value for Eckler. If Melvin is traded then this team could be one of the best. Otherwise, there is zero depth at RB. The fourth RB was taken in the final round. I don’t think Eckler can hold down RB2 all season without any support and bye weeks are going to hurt bad. This team needs a trade or else they will be back in the Amateur Hour League.

MN Skol – 6th Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues (Playoffs)

The optimism of this team is amazing. The RB1 has never put together a full season as a starter. The RB2 is a rookie along with the QB2. And the QB1 has trouble hitting the broad side of a barn. These players could all be amazing, or they could all disappoint. Overall, I am on the side of optimism. I’m on board because the QB3 is safe and will put up points. Plus, the handcuff for this RB1 is also on this team. One way or another I think this team is going to put up some big points on the way to the playoffs.

Titan Up – 7th Pick Prediction – Amateur Hour League

A first-round Zeke with no Pollard is going to hurt. That only leaves Derrick Henry and Latavius Murray as viable RBs. That could be okay if the rest of the roster was amazing. AJ Green isn’t ready and Mariota as QB2 is painful. The last few weeks of the season this team is going to knock some people out of the playoffs. Unfortunately for this team, they will be so far behind that it won’t matter.

SCLSU – 8th Pick Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)

South Central Louisiana State University had a really strong draft at WR, RB, and TE. There is some upside TE picks later that could be good trade material later as well. Carr and Allen aren’t the best real-life QBs but they definitely have the possibility of putting up some good points this year. This team probably needs a trade still to round out the roster and make it a playoff contender. Until then this team will be headed to the minors without a trip to the playoffs.

Justin Time Tucker – 9th Pick Prediction – Amateur Hour League

And here is our auto-draft team. The top of the draft was going well until the team was stuck with Luck, Miller, and some Indy skill players. In total 4 players on the Colts is a lot for an offense that just took a major blow. The top of the draft is still solid although there are some concerns. The depth was just killed by autodrafting some of the players. The only hope is some amazing pick ups off the waiver wire.

Team Carr – 10th Pick Prediction – Amateur Hour League

Josh Gordon as WR2 and Flacco in the 8th. I give you credit for sticking to your rankings but I find it hard to trust a player that has barely played in the NFL over many seasons and a player that was replaced by someone who has trouble throwing a ball into an ocean from a cruise ship. There are a lot of late picks at WR who could produce but it may be too late by the time they start to step up. I think it will be too much for this team to overcome.

Team McSwain– 11th Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)

A very strong start to the draft and Jacobs in the 4th could be a steal. McSwain has put a lot of faith in some frostbitten feet and a backup QB though. A bunch of late TEs limits the amount of support coming from the bench as well. The core of this team has enough firepower to take down any team in the league, but one or two rough breaks could land this team on the outside of the playoff picture.

Its Elementary D Watson – 12th Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)

It’s good when owners can admit that they are so bad that they need a co-owner. It was very brave of you. It was also very brave to pick up 3 defenses to close the draft. Brave or Stupid? Well, there is a fine line there. Fortunately for this team, the start of the draft went well. Rounds 6-9 give this team a lot of options in the flex spot with Kupp, Guice, Sanders, and Shepard. Austin Hooper may put up good numbers as a late TE as well. I guess we will also see if three defenses are greater than one just like two minds are greater than one. I’m guessing there is some faulty logic in both those statements.
