Sure, the playoffs are important, but the real key here is getting to the top 8 and making it into the minor leagues. And everyone still has a shot at making it out. In fact, everyone but one is only a couple of points scored away from making it out. Good luck to everyone in the last 5 weeks.
This league has had some ridiculous scoring. I actually had to check the scoring rules to make sure I didn’t make a mistake. The current leader has over 100 points more than any other team in the whole RFFA. Many people have had over 800 points scored against them which is again more than the other leagues are currently showing. And the bottom teams aren’t way behind. This league has just been great at playing the right players at the right time.
This league also has by far the most trades and trade offers. I think it is the most I have ever seen in a redraft league. Great work everyone!
The predictions are my original predictions from after the draft. The order of teams is the same as the draft order. Please feel free to go to the forum if you have any comments.
DeShaun of the Dead – 10th Place Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)
This team is just barely hanging onto the back end of the pack waiting for Le’Veon to start returning some of that number one overall pick value. If he does return to his previous form, this team could rise once again and make it out of the bottom league. Without Bell, this team has one too many holes and they may be forced to spend another year in the bottom.
Not Your Mama – 6th Place Prediction – Minor Leagues (Playoffs)
Not Your Mama is currently right behind the 4 teams tied at 4-2 looking for a weak target. Sitting on the 2nd most points scored, Not Your Mama has the talent on the roster to push for the championship as long as teams don’t continue to put up huge numbers against this team. As the early prediction indicated, this team is going to the playoffs.
Team Camin– 4th Place Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)
Losing Jimmy G has forced Team Camin to rely on Josh Rosen as a QB2. The team is still searching for a solid flex play as well. Fitzy isn’t getting any work in Arizona, Callaway can’t catch a ball, and Hogan has completely disappeared. Someone needs to step and fill this role if Team Camin wants to make it into the playoffs with all the high-powered teams.
Winning Saquan My Balls – 5th Place Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)
This team is at the bottom of the 4-2 teams and not far from the pack at 2-4. There are certainly some great anchors on this team. The QBs have been top notch and AB always brings in some points. There are a lot of holes on this team though, especially through the bye weeks. I think Saquan drops a game in week 7 which begins the downfall of this team. They will be lucky to get into the minor leagues.
Team Eline – 8th Place Prediction – Amateur Hour League
Team Eline leads the pack of 2-4 teams in points scored. But a high points against total has kept this team from any more wins. The team has some solid starters but just lost Devonta Freeman to IR. The starters should grab a few more wins and get this team out of the Amateur Hour League but it will be by the slimmest of margins.
Thanos Was Right – 3rd Place Prediction – Amateur Hour League
Thanos appears to be right and I appear to be wrong in my prediction. Breida has really stepped up for this team to fill in the RB2 role. Then Saquan and Tyreek Hill have generated wins by themselves. The Bears defense has brought some big points in to complement the stars. There are some vulnerabilities on this team. A slip up from the big stars could spell disaster. I don’t think this team is set up for a championship but they might squeeze into the playoffs.
Principal Incredible – 7th Place Prediction – Amateur Hour League
Our other 3-3 team has some serious holes in the lineup. McCoy as an RB2 is a major concern, especially with Derek Anderson at the helm. Darnold as the only option for a QB2 will also leave this team struggling to put up the big points needed to get the wins in this league. With a pack of 2-4 teams surging from behind, this team needs to find some wins down the stretch if they want to get out of the Amateur Hour League.
Omaha Beef – 11th Place Prediction – Minor Leagues (Playoffs)
I am surprised this team has even had 2 wins. It actually pains me to see this team and all of the frustrations these beefcakes have to deal with. Fournette and Cook can’t stop pulling things. Amari Cooper can’t start catching things. Unfortunately, he only has himself to blame as all three of these players came over in trades. I don’t think these players will start producing soon enough to get this team into the playoffs, but this team may be the scariest team in the last few weeks.
Lucky Dogs – 1st Place Prediction – Minor Leagues (Playoffs)
Sure this team looked good after the draft, but players keep stepping up for this team and it is easy to see why this team is by far away the best team in the whole RFFA. This team will be looking to get the Champions League next year after this strong performance.
Pettine Zoo – 2nd Place Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)
The top of the 4-2 teams has a solid starting lineup and some depth on the bench. Easily making the playoffs, this team needs some luck if they want to take down the Lucky Dogs. No doubt the firepower is there, and this team is a clear contender.
Light Sleepers – 12th Place Prediction – Minor Leagues (No Playoffs)
The Light Sleepers haven’t been able to wake up any sleepers so far. At 0-6, even the minor leagues are looking like a tall order. But credit where credit is due, this team is making trades and trying to make something happen. You have my respect which is probably little comfort for the 0-6 start.
Deez Lutz – 9th Place Prediction – Amateur Hour League
894 points scored against this team. That is the only thing holding this team back because there is plenty of talent to put up points even with Ajayi out for the season. The opposing team put up over 150 points in each of the 4 loses. Over 200 points in one of the loses. The good news is 4 of the next 5 teams are in the bottom half of the league. Look for this team to make a run into the Minor Leagues and maybe even a spot in the playoffs.
